Sustain-a-Links #1

It’s very difficult to analyze or opine on all the issues related to sustainability and the greening of the globe. This new feature should help readers see what I’m seeing, which for the most part is better analysis or more thorough reporting than I can produce. Every now and then I’ll post a set of links with short summaries on articles (most often provided by the original publisher). Hopefully readers will use these posts and this site as a portal to the green dimension. I’ll try my best to keep the links as balanced and pertinent as possible. My goal is to start with a top 10 of sorts. If time permits and the response is positive I’ll try to increase the number of links. Also, I’ll try to mix in some links to articles off the beaten path so people are exposed to unique ideas.
Oh yeah, I’m trying to come up with a name for this feature too. I thought about Carnival, which is a blogging event in which people submit links related to a particular topic and someone posts them all. This is very similar but I’m the one doing all the work - “one man carnival” has overtones with very strong similarities to “victimless crimes”, and that’s just creepy. What about Sustain-a-Links? Done.
And now ladies and gentlemen, in alphabetical order, today’s top 10 Sustain-a-Links!

I think you did a great job! Thank you very much! I’m already a big Treehugger, and recently found ecorazzi, but the rest are new to me, and very interesting!
Keep up the great work!
