I have some related comments on my site, http://greenchemistry.wordpress.com/, including discussions of the huge effect corn to ethanol is having on food prices, without any effect on oil prices, and also evidence that the "greenness" of ethanol as a fuel is false from a health perspective- this from Brazil, where 100% ethanol-powered cars have been around for a while, and the air has much more ozone and formaldehyde than "good old normal polluted air from hydrocarbon fuel".
