Weeeeeeeeeee Car!

My original plans to use the new WeCar service I wrote about last week were thwarted by an ice storm. I was totally willing to drive in the junk but the doctor’s office wussed out and canceled all of its appointments. Weak. Anywho, I used it today, and man oh man, was it simple and convenient. The entire process of registering and accessing the vehicle I described last week went off without a hitch.
I forgot to take a look at what my average miles per gallon were for the trip but it was surely in the 40s. I would say all the highway driving helped but with the Prius, local driving gets better gas mileage because the car has to rely on the gas-powered engine less. I had the car out just less than two hours, so that should come out to $20. Not too bad if you ask me. Remember that the absolute charge may seem steep at times but if you take the cost of using the car even once a week for a few hours over a whole year, the total cost will still be significantly less than that of owning a vehicle for the same period
Well, I just wanted to provide a quick update to let you know WeCar kicks ass. Hopefully it will succeed and grow and more and more people will trash their cars and everyone will live in peace, together, as one.
