We have the tools and the science, just not the will power and motivation, to do what needs to be done to preserve our social and physical environments. Hopefully I can manifest something on this website that proves useful to its readers and helps them affect change in their environments.
My purpose is solely to help make things better for the planet and its people, especially those who aren’t fortunate enough to start with the same resources as the people reading this. I believe they don’t have the same resources for many reasons, but one of the most important is because the haves profit at the expenses of the have nots. There’s no crime in being smarter, or working harder, but there is a crime in manipulating resources and the people who have no avenue to rise up and fight back.
If we think more about the long-term effect our decisions have not only economically, but also socially and environmentally, we raise our awareness. Defeating our own ignorance is the first and hardest step. Once we enlighten ourselves, making sustainable decisions becomes easy, and hopefully the norm. A more palatable harmony will surely follow, and I think we can all live with that.
