Site Changes - Part One

As you can probably tell, the site looks a little different than before. I’ve upgraded to a new “theme” (as it’s called in Wordpress) that uses widgets. If you’re going to start a blog and use Wordpress, make sure the theme is widget ready. The feature allows for a “plug and play” type editing of the sidebar, which means much less programming.
The next change that will be happening won’t really be visible to readers. I’ll be switching to my hosting company from Yahoo! to Dreamhost. I’ve had no problems with Yahoo! but Dreamhost is one of the best hosting companies around and, most importantly, has gone green. Woo hoo! The transfer should be done within a week, and if the site is ever down I apologize in advance; I’ll be working hard to get it up and running. With this change, the domain will permanently become greenrising.com (some of you may be accessing the site via viharsheth.net). So, please change it in your bookmarks.
Finally, the Green Directory page, which has just a few links on it now, will soon become the most comprehensive green links site on the Internet. This will take some time but it will be constantly updated with great resources, blogs, retailers, etc . . .
